Lancaster Pennsylvania

Image
Walked around Lancaster which seems a bit rundown. Houses from $40000. Hotel looks lovely as it was converted from a cork factory but unfortunately they neglected to put  insulation between  the  floors. Dinner was with an Amish family þhat also told us about their lifestyle.

Niagra Falls

Image
Travelled from Toronto to Niagra Falls on the Canadian side. We had a short ride in a helicopter to view the falls and surrounding area. Next we visited Table Rock to view both sets of falls. Maid of the Mist was our next stop. The ferry is now called Hornblower on the Canadian side. It was a very wet ride up to under the falls. At night we had the opportunity to take control of the floodlights and change the colours on the falls. Hotel was called Double Tree.

Toronto Day 2

Bus tour of city in the morning. Baseball game at Rogers Centre. Lovely city with beautiful harbour.

Toronto

Left Ottawa after a tour of Parliament House. The building is amazing and the library quite spectacular. Had lunch in Kingston where the water level is higher than it has ever been before and still rising. Arrived in Toronto at 6:00 and are staying right on the waterfront a few minutes from CN Tower. While the weather is good we decided to go to the top of the tower.  Our hotel can be seen in the picture below. It has a round section on the top. About 400km travelled.

Ottawa

Two hours on the bus saw us in Ottawa where we are staying at the Lord Elgin. We did a city tour and viewed all the local highlights. Had lunch in some local markets including a beavers tail which is a local delicacy.
