New York Day 2

Late start as we both didn't sleep very well.  Caught the subway to Staten Island Ferry and viewed the Statue of Liberty. We then walked up to Battery Park and then the 9/11 Memorial. We had read that the queues could be quite large at the memorial but we were able to buy a ticket and go straight in.  Next stop was Wall Street. Then back to our hotel in Times Square.

Visited Arlington Cemetery where JFK is buried and toured the cities war memorials. Vietnam Memorial is particularly moving as they have listed names of all the soldiers killed in action. Did a tour Capitol building and then went through the underground tunnel to the Library of Congress.

Walked to see Carrie Bradshaws Sex and the City steps, Magnolia Bakery, Hudson River and then up Canal St where they sell fake handbags etc. At sunset we went to Top of the Rock to view Sunset over New York City.
